An accomplished and respected trial lawyer by day, when the business day ends, the transformation to rock guitarist begins. When Dave Cornell picks up a guitar, get ready to rock! Dave makes his 1978 Fender Stratocaster wail on an Eagles tune or meticulously nail a Beatles classic. Dave demonstrates his tremendous musical versatility as he changes to his D-28 Martin acoustic. He’ll even surprise audiences as he whips out the flute for a solo to support a ballad.
Dave’s style was and is influenced by some of the best in rock, British pop and punk – The Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Clash, Sex Pistols and Elvis Costello, to name just a few.
A native of West Virginia, Dave is a West Virginia University grad and an avid Mountaineer supporter. After law school at the University of Florida, Dave settled in Gainesville and remains a big UF booster. When asked to sum up his love for the music he plays, Dave simply says: “It is what it is.” Better yet, when asked what is most important to him about playing in a band, Dave does not hesitate to offer his opinion: "Wear comfortable shoes."
